DATE & TIME

Follow the steps shown in the video tutorial below to configure the correct date & time on your system.

 


Install MySQL.

# apt-get install mysql-client mysql-server

During installation you must enter a MySQL password for the super user root.

Initially, the MySQL service will only be running on the ip address localhost (127.0.0.1)

 

If you want to change the IP where MySQL runs, edit the my.cnf configuration file.

# vi /etc/mysql/my.cnf

 

Change the value of the bind-address directive to the value 0.0.0.0 and restart MySQL service through the following command.

# service mysql restart


MySQL is now installed on your system.
